THOUSANDS HOMELESS.
AN INCENDIARY FIRE THREE CHILDREN KILLED. I’ress Association-Electric Telegraph-Copyright MANILA, Tiiursday. The second incendiary fire this year in the Pasay Nipa district killed three children and made 2500 Mauilans homeless. Seven hundred dwellings were destroyed. The damage is estimated at £IOO,OOO. A thousand people, threatened with death from suffocation owing to the intense heat of the blaze, or falling walls, leaped into the waters of Manila Bay in an effort to escape.
