“ Oil! WHAT A NURSE! ’ ’ “Oh! What a Nurse!” a Warner master picture, starring Syd Chaplin, will appear at the Cosy Theatre on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Here is a laugh show that affords as much entertainment as one can stand without grievous physical discomfort. It sets out right at the start to create laughter, and it keeps it up at a breathless, gurgling pace. Chaplin appears as a newspaper reporter who dives from a ferry boat to rescue a girl, and gets picked up by a rum-running tug, and who is forced into the costume of a bootleg queen in order to divert suspicion from the real culprit. Like any good newspaper man the reporter, with an assignment to cover, does not pause even to change his clothes when he has a job to attend to. The result is that, in the bootleg queen's outfit, he runs into a maze of trouble, and, to get himself out of it, seizes a nurse’s costume. From then on, his adventures are indescribably comical. Reserves at \ are's. COSY THEATRE. “The Last Trail,” Fox Films version of Mr Grey’s blood-tingling novel, starring the popular Western star, opened on Saturday night for the fiist time. Judging from the reception accorded it, the film is going to piove decidedly fine entertainment for those who see it during its stay here. Mix and his equally famous steed, Tony, are involved in some of the fastest and most furious actions ever recorded by the camera in this whirlwind story of the plains. When the picture opens, Mix is cast as an army scout in the Dakotas during the last Sioux Indian uprising. Later he is pictured as the foe of a gang of desperadoes who specialise in looting stages. Tom Dane (Mix) gets into all sorts of trouble with the villain, Kurt Morley, played by William Davidson. A stage coach race, in which the two participate, is thrilling in the extreme. Carmelita Geraghty, Jerry the Giant, and others are seen in support of the star in a film which should not be missed. Reserves at Yare’s.
