Snow and frost have arrived in England bag and baggage, for this is the coldest season for many years. Snow ■was falling in London all last night, and the Air Ministry predicts that the temperature will not rise above freezing point before Christmas. Winter sports are in progress throughout England, tobogganing and Nki-ing in Yorkshire and Derbyshire, and skating everywhere, including Lonthe water in the parks is with ice, as are also the fountains in Trafalgar Square. There have .been incessant .falls of snow throughout Austria, causing serious delay to express tarins. Ten thousand people are engaged in clearing snow from the streets of "Vienna, -where the wealthy are doing their shopping trips in sleighs. A great gale is raging in the Atlantic and several liners arc delayed.
