The following inter-club croquet matches were played during last week: —Mesdamcs Finlayson and Purchase (Masterton) defeated Mesdamcs Feast and Gayfcr (Carterton), 2G/22; 'Mcsdames Rowles and A’incent (Featherstou) defeated MdSdiUhCS M oiler and Clayson (Masterton), 26/21. Great interest is being taken. :n t-io handicap doubles which are 1 eing played by the Masterton Club for the McKenzie Ferns. Matches to date have resulted as follow:— Mesdamcs Clayson (1) and Wilkinson (2) defeated Mesdames Weller (1) and Betheridge (2), .26/15; Mesdamcs Kerr (2) and .Spademan (2) defeated Mesdamcs Staniforth (2) and Thomas (2), 26/14. In a match for the gold mallet brooch, B grade, Mrs Spackman defeated Mrs Betheridge, 2G/IS.
