AWARDS AND PROMOTIONS. SOLWAY. In spite of adverse weather conditions, the large class room at Solway .School was well filled on Thursday afternoon on the occasion of the annual prize-giving ceremony. Teachers and pupils had prepared a short programme of sougs, recitations and folk dances, all of which were well rendered and were much appreciated by the) audience. Mr A'. Jackson, chairman of the committee, presented the prizes to the children, after which all enjoyed the afternoon tea, kindly provided by tho ladies.
