CARTERTON SALE, Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd, report: —Wc offered a -small yarding of cattle and pigs to a fair attendance Competition was keen, and we made a clearance as follows: —Baconers, £- -s to £2 4s; slips, 24s 3d to 28s; fat cows, £5 15s .to £6; forward cows, £3 10s to £4 ss; store cows, 35s to £2 ;>s. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-■tive Association, Ltd., report as follows on the Carterton sale: —Only a small entry of stock came forward, our issue comprising a fair number P? ffittle and ,pigs. Cattle sold readily and pigs were •sold at late rates. We also offered and sold a good quantity of poultry, which made exceptional prices. We report:— ■ Light fat cows, £4 7s 6d to £5 IDs; stove cows, £2 10s to £2 17s 6d; springing COWS, £7; bulls, £2 17s Cd to £4; pigs, weaners, 14s to 17s 6d; slips, ISs to 19s; light porkers, 27s to 335. Poultry: Hens, 3s 6d each; ducks, 7s each.
