DEPRESSION AFTER ILLNESS.
CHRISTCHURCH SUICIDE. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. At six o'clock this morning, Churchill Day, aged OS, was found in n the ’bathroom of a hou* where he iesided. with Ms throat badly gashed. He had had a stroke four months ago, and had been in a depressed condition ever Since. He was practically a paralytic. Airs Burrows, the owner of the house found him still alive and summoned medical assistance immediately. At h.oO he was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital in a dangerous condition, and in spite of attention, died at 12.:*.0. No trace was found of the weapon with •jfhich" the act was committed. An inquest was opened and adjourned.
