Press Association-Electric Telegraph--Copyriglit" (Received Wednesday, 10.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. \ From the beginning of the New Year, the 'Customs regulations for the examination of passengers’ luggage from overseas will be made more rigid. Up to the present the ptactice has been to obtain a. verbal statement from passengers, whether! they have anything in their luggage subject to duty, only occasional packages being examined. It is now proposed that every pa'ssenger shall make a statutory declaration on arrival, enumerating all the articles contained in the luggage.
