OPERA HOUSE. Marion Davies plays one of her most remarkable roles in the new production, “Beverly of Graustark,” based on Geo. Barr MeCutelieon’s famous novel of modern European intrigue, •commencing for three nights, at the Opera House on Wednesday. She plays not only the heroine, Beverly, but also masquerades as a crown prince, and goes through a coronation to save a throne in a daring impersonation, Antonio Moreno plays the principal male role of “Danton,” and Roy D’Arcy, Creighton Hale, Paulette Duval, Max Barwyn, Albert Gran and other notables appear. COSY THEATRE. “ Womanhandled, ’ ’ the answer to “Manhandled,” hv the same author, is the feature at the Cosy Theatre tonight. Richard Dix is starred, with Esther Ralston, Margaret Morris, Edmund Breosc and Ivan Simpson in the supporting cast. Directed by Gregory La Cava, as his first picture for Paramount, “ Womanhandled” tells a story of modern Western ranch life—a farce comedy in which the star, as Bill Dana, an eastern “softy,” (hies woolly West to make a real man of himself. There is, of course, a pretty girl behind it all —Miss Ralston, who greatly admires men of “the great open spaces.” The picture is taken up w;ith how the star goes about winning the girl’s heart when he arrives on his uncle’s ranch in Arizona and finds that; the West of yesterday and the West of to-day are entirely different. Rapid-fire comedy, warm romance and plenty of rousing action pack every foot of “Womanhandled.” The title alono ought to be enough to get you in. “Womanhandled” is the .type of clean, keen wholesome pictures that the whole family will enjoy. Excellent supports. Reserves at Henderson's.
