SOLWAY SUNDAY SCHOOL. ANNIVERSARY' SERVICES. The Solway Methodist Sunday School Anniversary was concluded last evening at a concert given at Solway. The Rev. IV. Beckett^tocsided. A most eiWyable evening was spent, recitations being given by the’following:—Peter Mayes', Joan Colder, Elnia Bush, Jack Brader, Mavis Moore, Kenneth Hensliaw, Robert Hardy, Noeline Vaughan, Ireno Hardy, Mona Brader, Dulcie Price, Keith Woollelt, Janet •Hardy, Maynard Scott, Albert Bush, George Martin and Eden Martin. Certificates were presented as follows: —Teachers’ diploma, Miss Dorothy Henshaw; first-class scholars, Alice Colder and George Martin; secondclass, Dulcie Price and Albert Bush. Mr Gutter, on behalf of the teachers .of the Sunday School, presented Miss Henshaw with a handsome manicure set, she having resigned as a SundaySchool teacher, after having rendered very valuable service. The annual report outlined the establishment of Sunday evening services at .Solway eleven years ago, and mentiongreat progress that had since made. The roll number was 40, average attendance 75 per cent. As no- prizes were given this year, it was decided to hold games and tea for children afternoon next. A credit of £7 was disclosed.
