A group match between Wairarapa and .Southern Hawke’s Bay will be played on the Park Oval on Friday and Saturday, play to commence on the first day at 2 p.m. The winners of this match

have the right of playing the winner of the Wanganui-Taranaki match for ■possession of the Hawke Cup. The team is as follows:—W. Beech, E. M. Bundle, D. Falloon, R. Gee, F. Hoar, A. Hoar, A. Players are asked to attend practice every evening this week at the High School grounds, at 5 o’clock. Umpires for the match will be Messrs W. A. McGregor and R. J. Barton. WANGANUI V. TARANAKI. WANGANUI, Sunday. In the Hawke Cup cricket match, play closed on Saturday with Taranaki in a good position to win the trophy. Taranaki made ISS and 17S, while Wanganui’s score was 63 in the firs't innings and 92- for four wickets in the second. They thus require 212 runs to win, with six wickets in hand.
