WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Wairarapa Cricket Association was held last evening, Mr A. Hoar presiding in the absence of the chairman (l>r. G. H. T'ttley). The Southern Hawke’s Bay Association wrote approving of December 10th and lltli for the representative match versus Wairarapa. which will be played at the Park Oval. It was decided To apply to the Borough Council for the right to charge for admission on the second day of the match. The secretary was instructed to arrange for catering for the players. J( was decided to play junior and third-grade matches on December lltli. as usual. The New Zealand Cricket Council tonight suggested that the selectors ■should choose a maximum of eight certainties for the touring team by not later than the middle of January, and that an effort would be made to announce the appointment of a manager by Christmas. It was decided that as the minimum number of shares (3000) had been subscribed, the New Zealand Cricket Limited Company should go into allotment.
