CAROL’S LOVE AFFAIRS.

LAMBRINO’S SUIT. COURT’S ■PR ON OUN CEMEX T. (Received Thursday, 9.25 a.m.) PARIS, Wednesday. The Court heard the suit of Lambriiio and declared that it was incompetont to pronounce on the case, as Lambrino' and Prince Carol were absent.. 'Lambrino is' appealing. (Poignant Jove letters exchanged between Madame Zizi Lambrino and Prince Carol were read in a case _ in which Madame Lambrino sued Prince Carol for the school fees of her son Mircea, and furthermore demanding that his name shall be entered in the school records as the legitimate son. W hen Prince Carol was ordered to rejoin his 1 regiment ,after his wartime attempt to renounce the Roumanian succession, he wrote: —“I cannot give vou up ever. I remain your loving husband an’l the father of the child you lire expecting.” Madame Lambrino sobbinglv broke down at this passage. In the course of opposing counsel’s heated argument, it was disclosed that Madame Lambriiio is also suing Prince Carol for ten million francs damages for alleged desertion. The evidence showed that the chili} had been registered in Lambrino’s name, and the father was not mentioned. After Madame Lambrino had become domiciled in France the headmaster of a French school refused to admit the child on the grounds of illegitimacy. Counsel for the defence argued that the marriage had been dissolved by the Roumanian courts, after which Madame Lambrino accepted an arrangement thereby -she was granted an income of 110,000 francs; moreover, the tribunal was incompetent to decide the case because both parties were foreigners, and the ease concerned a question of paternity which did not como under the French law.)
