The tragic story of the flight of two French aeroplanes from Dakar is more fully reported from Casablanca. The airmen, Court and Laralle, flew in separate ’planes!, accompanied by Moorish i n tcrpreters. The mechanic. Pintado, and Gourt, made a forced landing in the unsubdued Spanish territory. Lasallc descended to assist him. The Moors fired, killing Lasalle and Pintado, and. rendering Gourt unconscious. The interpreters reached Capo Jubv from which the aviators 1 , Valle and Merniozc started to rescue Gourt. Yillo was forced to land owing to lack of petrol, and the Moors attacked him but Memorise swooped down and picked up Ville in the nick of time. They later found the burnt debris of the ’planes. Court readied a Spanish outpost.
