DOUBLE TRAGEDY.
IN GU$*F OF NAP ALES. LONDON, Tuesday. The Naples correspondent of “The Times” says that a remarkable tragedy has occurred in the Gulf of Naples, where the island Rock Gaiola, is crowned with a single villa owned by Dr. Grumbach, and connected with the mainland by a cable transporter erected in 1896. During a terrific storm Dr. Grumbach crossed safely, but when a phtient, Baroness von Parish was following the cable snapped, precipitating her into the seas, and she was drowned. Dr. Grumbach, blaming himself lor his failure to renew the cable, committed suicide. —( ‘The Times.”)
