STOCK MARKET.
PAHIATUA CATTLE FAIR. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report: —-We held our spring cattle fail at Pahiatua yesterday, when we offered a good yarding to a large attendance. Most of the cattle showed signs of the hard winter they had gone through. Although prices were not up to those realised at the early sales, they were jusf on a par with those ruling at the last Masterton fair. With the exception of a few pens of* dairy cattle we •disposed of the whole of our yarding at auction and private treaty. Following are our prices:—Three-year steers, £5 13s to £6 15s; 2-year steers, £4 to £5; yearling steers, £2 10s to £3 <s; 2-yenr heifers, £2 15s to £3 ss; yearling.heifers, £2 to £2 10s; dairy heifers, 2-yeav,, £2 10s to £3 ss.
