FARMER KILLED.
GIG GOES OVER BANK. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. William McCarron, a well-known farmer at Hook (near Waimate, Canterbury), married, with eight children, when driving home in a fog late on Saturday night went ovfcr an enibankinent, the gig capsieiug. 1 iMcOarron was found later lying dead under the vehicle, only his head being above the surface of a pool of water. His' face showed -signs; of having been kicked by the horse.
