TACTLESS METHODS. AN OUTSPOKEN BISHOP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Archbishop Ayerill, speaking at a meeting of the Church ' of England Men’s Society, said that he did not think Mr Isitt’s bill for tbe introduction of Bible study in the State schools would go through the House. He added: “In the event of its being defeated it seems to me advisable to press for a referendum.” Later he remarked: “Although I am not usually a pessimist, I am not very optimistic this time, owing to the tactlessness of so-called friends.”
