Ah Sue and Choy Jackson, Chinese, pleaded guilty at the Napier Magistrate’s Court to being in possession of opium in a form suitable for smoking. In the case of the latter it was stilted that he apparently, although not a smoker himself, was supplying his countrymen with the drug. Fines of £2O ami £3O respectively, with costs, were inflicted.
