After being marooned three months on Nassau, a lonely island in the Pacific, castaways from the auxiliary schooner 'Samoa, owned by the Burns Philps South Sea 'Company, were discovered by the American yacht Goodwill, whose owner, wirelessed the news to Apia.

It is reported,that the Samoa is a total wreck. The schooner was lost on April 29th. The passengers and crew are safe. . The Lady Roberts has sailed from Apia to rescue the castaways. The Samoa was built at Wliangaroa. in 1902.
