' Mr.-. 8, M. Boddington reports that 34 points, of rain were registered at Solway for the 24 hours up till 9 o’clock this morning. \ SOLWAY RAINFALL. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that rain fell on 7 days in April,'the maximum being 54 points on the 12th, and the minimum 6 points on the 10th and. 13th; total for month ' 1.43 inches, as against' 2.03 (1924 L 2.56 (1923), 1.62 (1922), 1.84 (1921), 4.27 (1920). The total rainfall for the 4 months is 5.66 ( inches, as compared l with*'lo.if3 (1924), 14.29 (1923). 14.08 (1922), 6,71 (1921), and 13.01 (1920). The 5.66 inches recorcled'-for the four months is the lowest’ recorded during the past 21 years, other low records “being 6.71 (1921), 6.87- (1919), and 9.68 (1908). The Rev. D. C. Bates reports for the twenty-four hours from 9 a.m. this day as- follows:- \ ■ The indications are for south-easterly winds, moderate to strong.
