WELLINGTON SALES. T»lie fortnightly sale of hides, sheepskins, tallow, etc. was held at Wellington yesterday. "There was a large attendance of buyers. Compared, .with preA'ious sale held in April 17th, dried sheepskins were probably lower by Id per lb, salted and green sheepskins were lower by Is, probably in some eases Is 6d; heavy ox and coav hides were firmer by probably Jd to Id per lb; medium and light sold on about a par with previous sale, calfskins Avere firmer. Tallow Avas slightly weaker. The range of ..prices is as follows: — Sheepskins.—Halfbred, lljd to 15Jd; fine crossbred, 13d to laid: mediumcoarse crossbreds, lOd to 123 d; short to half avools. Sd to 14d; lambs, 8d to 15jd; dead and damaged crossbred, 61d to 11-Id: inferior and badly damaged, 3d to 7d; pelts, 4<Fto lOJd; damp, salted and green, 6s 7d to 11s 9d: pelts, salted 5s lOd to 6s 7d; lambs, salted, 4s to 7s lid.
