AERIAL NAVIGATION.
AEROPLANE CRASHES. $ PILOT INCINERATED. : ress Association—Electric Telegraph—Copyrig! (Received Friday, .10.45 a.in.) - MALTA, Thursday. During combined naval, military and aerial operations, an aeroplane caught fire and crashed in an unsuccessful attemp to land. The pilot was incinerated, and two others badly burned and were sent to hospital. —Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn. AN ITALIAN FLIGHT. BAGDAD, Thursday. The Italian aviator, Depiuedo, has left here for Karachi. His route from Rangoon will depend on tho monsoons. He will either go to Australia and then to Japan, or first to Tokio and then to Melbourne, and thence home. His machine is of the ordinary service scouting and bombing type of hydroplane, Italian built. The object of the flight is to supply evidence of the technical efficiency of Italian aeronautics. Depiuedo is a Neapolitan, aged 35. He served in the war and was decorated four times, and at present holds a high staff appointment in the Italian Air Service. —Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
