MRS. McCOMBS DECLINES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Mrs. McCombs lias sent the following letter to the secretary of the Labour Representation Committee: —“I understand my name has been submitted to the L.K.C. for the select-ion ballot in connection with the Mayoral contest. I wish to thank those members of the Party who have been responsible for the inclusion of my name. I regret I cannot accept nomination, although I am strongly in favour of women taking their full share in public life.”
