MASTERTON CLUE. ANNUAL MEETING. Tlic annual general meeting of the Matserton Golf Club was held in the County Council offices last evening, Mr IT. G. Williams (the club's president) presiding over a good attendance of members. The report and balance sheet as read by the secretary were adopted, the balance-sheet showing a credit o.f £SO 5 s. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr H. G. Williams; vice-presidents, Messrs W. M. Kcbbell and Guy C. Williams; club captain, Mr H. E. Hart; hon. secretary, Mr It. S. Hanna; hon. treasurer, Mr H. F. Coom; general committee, Messrs It. C. McGenzie, S. Kill, A. B. Lawrence, H. P. Hugo, 11. H. Pavitt, T. H. Horton, E. W. B. Ilornabrook; hon. auditor, Mr G. W. Sellar; ladies’ president, Mrs 11. G. Williams; club captain, Mrs P. Gordon; hon. secretary, Miss E. Robieson; committee, Mrs A. B. Lawrence, Mrs H. Rishworth, Mrs E. W. B. Hornabrook and blisses A. Perry and Murray. Twenty-four new members were elected. The matter of holding an annual ball was left in the hands of the ladies’ committee. It was recommended that the genera! committee be empowered to fix certain subscriptions for non-members, taking into consideration all special circumstances. An interesting discussion took place as to the best system of handicapping players, and Messrs 0. Perry and T. 11. Horton were appointed a handicap committee. A hearty vote of thanks and appreciation was accorded to Miami Mrs 11. G. Williams for their kindness in supplying afternoon tea on the opening and closing days of last season. Votes of thanks were also accorded to the ladies who had made such a success of the last annual ball, and to Miss E. Robieson and Mr H. F. Coom for services rendered to the club.

The meeting concluded with a vote of hanks to the chairman.

After the meeting closed the general committee met, and the following sub-committees, were appointed, viz.:— Ground committee, Messrs 11. F. Coom, T. H. Horton and R. C. McKenzie; match committee, Messrs A. B. Lawrence, R. S. Hanna and 11. I’. Hugo.
