In the “Abrams method” case at Auckland judgment has been reserved.
Mr. F. Jensen has sold his property comprising 100 acres situated at Te Ore Ore to Air. Emerson. Alessrs. C. C. Ross and Co. were the agents.
According to the Principal of the Waira/apa High School (Dr. G. H. Uttley) a satisfactory response has been received from pupils in regard to the correspondence courses.
A lire broke out in tlie scenic reserve on the Western Lake on Thursday and did a fair amount of damage to that valuable bush. Air A. Alatthews got a number of men together, who checked the snread of the lire.
A distressing accident occurred at Alaifai Valley College (Nelson). A boy, Kenneth Walklcv, while holidaying, was helping with a circular saw when he came in contact with it, receiving serious injuries to the head. His condition is serious.
“It was in ISSO that the first regular mail'service between Wellington and New Plymouth was started,” Air. A. AlcKenzie, of Alarton, when speaking at Flock House on the early history of the Lower Rangitikei. He added that the mail was carried on foot by Thomas Scott truce a month. In 38G2 Cobb and Co., started the first regular coach service.
