GIVES ALL HIS PROFITS. MISSIONARY SOCIETY BENEFITS. LONDON, Thursday. The Baptist Missionary Society reveals a remarkable case of a would-be missioner who was rejected for service in the Congo owing to iiyheatth. He decided, instead, to go into business, and devote all his profits to the Soci,itv. This was a 'decade ago, and he has already given £25,000. He was 25 when the doctor refused to pass him.
Though he began business without any capital, the next year he gave £4BO, the third year £IOOO, the sixth: year £3OOO, the tenth £4908, and in the year off his marriage £3963.
