A rather jieculiar situation has boon caused by the allocation of a totalisator permit at the Waimarino Racing Club by the Minister of Internal Affairs. At tiie last meeting of the New Zealand Racing Conference it was resolved that the certificates of registration of seven clubs (which were named) should lie cancelled “as they do not ajijiear to have held race meetings during the past four years, or are defunct.” One of those- clubs was the Waimarino Racing Club.
