W. Garrett, owner and trainer of Sir Roseberry, has taken up his residence at Elies!ie. lie had previously lived in the Wairarapa district for twentylive years.

Royal Divorce has been nominated for one or two events at the Wellington Racing Club’s Autumn Meeting, but unless he races well on a light preparation, can have little chance of success.

The Manawatu Racing Club’s autumn meeting is to be held on April Ist and 2nd. Nominations for all events close on Monday, the 16th March, at !> ]i.m., also forfeit, of one sov. for the Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes and the Manawatu Stakes.

A rather jieculiar situation has boon caused by the allocation of a totalisator permit at the Waimarino Racing Club by the Minister of Internal Affairs. At tiie last meeting of the New Zealand Racing Conference it was resolved that the certificates of registration of seven clubs (which were named) should lie cancelled “as they do not ajijiear to have held race meetings during the past four years, or are defunct.” One of those- clubs was the Waimarino Racing Club.
