WATERSIDE TROUBLE.
STILL UNSETTLED. NE W PLY MO I' TH DE A BLOCK. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday. The steamer .John is being worked by the crew, the only watersiders engaged being four men employed by the Railway Department to work tilicks. A meeting of the union passed a resolution calling on the Labour Depaitinclit to prosecute the o"neis foi a breach of the award by creating a lockout. Flour stocks are perilously low, and a deputation representing the trade Msiteil the wharf this morning, but the watersiders’ meeting would not give them a hearing. The deadlock continues.
LYTTELTON CONGESTED. GITRISTCILURCJT, Tli ursda y. The watersiders at Lyttelton this morning again gave native of their intention not to work overtime. The. port is'congested, and there is a big shortage of labour.
