INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
POSITION IN MASTERTON ANOTHER CASE REPORTED. Another ease of infantile paralysis (a child), was reported in Masterton this morning. DOMINION RETURNS. Only six fresh cases of infantile paralysis were notified throughout the Dominion during the 21 hours ending <) a.m. yesterday. Of these one was in Miramar (.’rescent, Kilbirnie. The cases were distributed as under: Auckland Health District, I—Manga te pa ru (Morrinsvillc). Wellington Health District, —City (Kilbirnie), 1; Kaporga, .1; Poilding, 1. Canterburv, 2—Christchurch City, I: Dale field, I.' Otago, 0. Dominion total, (>. DOWNWARD TENDENCY. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) OHKJBTCIIU'Rt’H, Thursday. The indications are looking better for a. change towards a. downward tendency, Dr. Telford, Medical Officer for Health, told a reporter to-day respecting the infantile paralysis epidemic. Only one new notification, that, of a three and a half years’ old girl from bin wood, lias been made since noon yesterday. CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph—Press Assoeiation.) OiIRISTCHUROH, Thursday. Between noon to-day and TO p.m., seven fresh oases of infantile paralysis were notified to the district health office*'. . One case was at Rangiora, and all the others were in and around the city. AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, Thursday.
For the 24 hours between noon yesterday and to-day, only one fresh ease of infantile paralysis has been notified to the Auckland District Health Ollice, that of a case in South Auckland. Within the same period there has been another death, that of a patient in the Auckland Hospital.
