DIVORCE COURT.
AN UNUSUAL CASE. (By Telegraph—-Press Association.) HAMILTON, This Day. At the Supreme Court an unusual divorce case was heard. William Thompson, in June, obtained a decree nisi, and then left for Sydney. He married again believing that the decree absolute had been made. In the meantime, however, the Judge refused to grant the decree absolute until he was satisfied thdt proper provision was made for alimony.
Thompson was brought back by his ■wife and charged with leaving the country during the currency of a maintenance, order and convicted and discharged. Since then Thompson has made satisfactory provision for alimony and the decree absolute has been granted. He will now, in order to legalise his second marriage, have to go through the again.
