At a meeting of the South School Committees’ Association, Larkin was elected vice-president, int ~ succession to the Rev. A. W. H. Compton, who had resigned. Mr A. E. Winzenberg was last night elected chairman of directors, and Mr W. Kemp vice-chairman, of the Masterton Wcrkmen’s Friend No. 2 Building Society.

a pearl embroidered court train and the customary veil and orange blossoms. The bridal bouquet was of white dahlias and maiden-hair fern. Miss Zelste Quin wore a dainty frock of apriqpP* shaded crepe de chine, with an overdress of georgette of the same shade, and a black picture-hat. Her bouquet was of autumn-tinted roses. Mrs Quin, mother of the bride, wore a mole costume, with; hat to match. A reception was later held by the bride ’s parents at the Municipal Hall, where the wedding breakfast was partaken of.
