TRAIN ROBBERY.
A BIG HAUL. Press Association—Electrie Telegraph—Copyright (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received Tuesday, 9.5 a.m.) NEW YORK, Monday. An Omaha telegram reports one of the largest train robberies in the history of the United States, the bandits escaping with gold currency and jewels valued at between £200,000 and £400,000. The train was en route to New York from San Francisco. It is understood that the train had been carrying gold from the United States’ mint in San Francisco.
