FLOUR AND WHEAT.
SOUTH AFRICA PROHIBITS IMPORTATION. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received Tuesday, 12.5 p.m.) CAPETOWN, Monday. The Government, under the Moratorium Act, has prohibited the importation of flour and wheat. The Government still has on its hands large stocks of Canadian and Australian flour which had been imported. The Cape is threatened with a shortage, but big crops are expected in the south-west wheat areas.
