FERRY SERVICE DELAYED.
BY HEAVY FOG. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The ferry steame.r Wahine xvas again hung up at Lyttelton to-night by a X'ory heavy fog. 16 She xvas ready to sail for Wellington at 5.25 p. 111., but it xvas impossible to g r et tier outside the moles. At 10.40 there was no sign of the fog lifting. Later. ■ At midnight the Wahine xvas still at the xvharf, and there xvas 110 immediate prospect of her sailing. Captain Edwin, of the Wahine, and Captain Marciel, Government Marine Superintendent, states that to-night’s fog is the heaviest experienced at Lyttefton for many years. The Wahine has a number of passengers,,to .connect with the Pacific liner Maraifia at Wellington.
