CONFERENCE AT WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELIJNGTRON, Monday. The question of consequential adjustment will be referred to a Board to be set up when each branch ot the public service will be dealt with on its own merits. Mr Massey further stated that if the service was not satisfied wit lx the salary schedules when produced, the delegates mav return and place the Service's objection to the same before him. The telegram* was read to the full conference before its despatch. The following motion was passed:— ‘‘That this meeting is /perfectly satisfied with the attitude of the conference, and congratulates them on the present, position.” The seconder of the motion said ho was afraid that Mr Massey would at-, tempt to side-step them again, but the chairman replied that that would not be so, because Mr Massey liad declared that he would give a reply to the Association’s demands before Parliament met.
