COSY THEATRE. WILL IA FA KN U M SPECIAL. Tbe mention of William Farnum as the heaumier on any programme is generally the sign of a big rush at the ticket office, and such is vne ease with the latest feature by that artist wu.u is now being screened at the Cosy Tueatre. in this feature film, “The Alan Hunter.” Bill Farnum appears i'or the tirst. time in a dress suit, and he does it justice, too. The story abounds with exciting and realistic episodes, and has as well a fair sprinkling of humorous events. The story, which is enacted * ix reels, deals principally with that big failing, hypocrisy, the threads of the story beng interwoven with both society life and life on the sen. Picture fans who delight in a good melodrama with bright touches of terse comedy cannot do better than “get in early’-' and see this fine production. A rattling good xwo-reeler Sunshine comedy, the Fox Weekly .News, and other good subjects combine to make an excellent all-round programme that is hard to beat. This programme will be shown for the last time this evening. paramount theatre. A SPLENDID MELODRAMA FEATURE. The double star programme exhibited at the Paramount Theatre is well worthy of mention, including as it did two .exceedingly tine dramatic productions. “The Flame of Life,” as shown in the life of David Leaford, depicted in the thrilling dramatic picture by the Swedish Bio Company, is first blown about by any careless adventure with man or woman that might come his way. It blazes into intensity when driven from home, he meets ii woman who at first scorns, then admires, and final I v loves him. He dares great thing's for her, and the flame is almost extinguished as he risks his life in the swirling rapids just to win a smile from her. Burning brightly again as lie promises to come back and win her, it almost dickers. out in the midst of dishonour and degradation in the city —finally it burns pure and strong when he overcomes his weakness and pride and finds his lover true. It is a wonderful story, magnificently, told, with many beautiful scenes in rural Sweden and stirring episodes in a logging camp of England. “A Home Wanted” was a five-reeler drama that also found hosts of admirers. To-night is the last chance to see this fine programme.
