INFLUENZA CASES.
A SLIGHT INCREASE. In all 3.30 influenza cases —313 mild, 5 severe and 12 pneumonic—were notified in the Wellington Hciiltli District during the week ended "noon on Monday, as against/ 269 cases —1 severe •jnd lij pneumonic, for the ■ previous week. The cases were distributed, as under amongst the various hospital districts: — Waipawa, .17 —two pneumonic at Wnipawa. / . Taranaki; 39—one pneumonic (Opunakc). ' ... Stratford, 38—four severe and five pneumonic at Stratford. llawera, 27—one pneumonic (Elthani). .
, Paten, 11 mild. Wanganui, 3S mild. Palmerston North, 30—two pneumonic: (Feilding). . , Wellington, 46 —one pneumonic and one severe’ (Wellington C-itj). Waii-hrapp, 40 mild.
.Nelson, 41 mild. Dr. Faris, District Health Officer, slated to a Wellington Times representative that the figures spoke for themselves. The cases were nearly all mild, and, for the season of the year, there was nothing in the returns calling tm comment. JXFEOTIOT'S DISEASES.
