LONDON WOOL SALES. LONDON, Saturday. The wool sales closed flat. Of 92,000 bales catalogued, about 40,000 were withdrawn. Compared with the Alav sales, best combing Merinos declined 20 per cent, Continental sorts and scoured 10 per cent. Faulty- carbonising wool recovered slightly' during the sales, by 10 per cent. Crossbreds improved gradually, and' closed 3 0 per cent down, and medium 5 per cent. Slipes and seoureds were in fair demand, but were largely withdrawn at the Government reserves.

Lambs’ wool declined from f> to 10 per cent.
