Herbert Samuel will depart for Palestine on .Tune 20th to take up his duties as High Commissioner there on July Ist. The Palestine authorities have appointed a new Council for the community’ of Jerusalem, with a Moslem as president and a Jew as vice-president.
The Council consists of two Jews, two Mohammedans and two Christians.
