PRESENTATIONS AT MAURICEVTTaLE, . , .. At Mauriceville last evening an en-' joyable Social was held, when presentations were made to .well-known and popular Residents of the district, writes our correspondent. The hall was tastefully decorated for the occasion. . During the evening Mr V. Limbcrg, on behalf of the settlers,, made a presentation to Mr and Mrs S. Hall, and Mr M. Gleeson presented Mr and Mrs T. Harvey with a token of the esteem in which they are held by the settlers. Dancing was indulged in during the evening, the music being supplied by Miss M. Braggius, accompanied by Mr Willmot on the violin,' extras being played by Misses E. Seymour, I. Braggins and V. Braggins. Messrs J. Jensen and M. Gleeson capably carried out the duties of M.C. Visitors were present from Masterton and the surrounding districts. Cheers were given for the guests of the evening, to the accompaniment of the singing of “For They.; Are Jolly Good Fellows.”
