RIOTS IN ITALY.
POLICE FIRED ON. SEVERAL PERSONS KILLED. Press Association —Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received Wednesday, 11.5 a.m.) ROME, Tuesday. During a student demonstration in celebration of Italy’s entry into the ■war, the police attempted to move on the demonstrators, whereupon a gang of hooligans fired their revolvers on the police, who replied. Four policemen and a civilian were killed, and two police and nine civilians wounded.
