A sign of the times! • At Auckland on Saturday last- the “Star” Rugby game attracted 2000 spectators and the ? principal League game 5000 spectators.
In connection wi'th the Auckland senior championship matches last Saturday, Parnell failed to put a team in the field,- and 'Newton, by appearing on the ground, had a bloodless victory, being this teain-’s win since 1908! The Red Star Club will hold a practice in the Y.M.C.A Gymnasium this evening at 7.30 o’clock. The Rugby games ; at Auckland on’ Saturday resulted as follows: —PonSonby 9, Marist Brothers 5; Grammar School Old Boys 14, Grattan 0; Univer-sity-21, College Rifles 19.
