CARTERTON STOCK SALE. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., Block Department, report on their Carterton sale, lie Id vesrerdav: —We offered a heavy yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs to a good attendance. Like other markets, sheep were in keen demand. Messrs Wriglit, Stephenson ami Co Ltd., report having offered a lair yardin" of sheep and cattle at the Carterton yards on Friday. There was a good attendance of buyers, and the bulk oi the entry was quitted at prices well up to recent rates. Quotations--tooths, 25s 7d; f.m. ewes, 10s to I<* 7d; s.m. ewes to 22s Od; w.t. lambs to J6s; cull lambs, 9s; small 2-tooth,ewes in lamb, 19s; 2-year steers, £< Its; heifer calves, £3 12s 6d; store cows, £•> to £b 10s. martinborough stock sale. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd., report having offered a g°°* •yarding of sheep and cattle at the Maitinborough sale on Thursday, when, with the exception ot one pen of slit [, a total clearance was effected.
