Cr. Toogood has resigned as a member of the Masterton County Council. The Bishop of Nelson .will pay a* visit to. Masterton on May 17th. Mr E. Cl. Eton, of Mastertog, who recently visited Rotorua, has returneJSx much benefited in. health. The Waivarapa Caledonian Society has decided that a welcome reunion, lie given for Mr Rod Mclvor, and all returned papers, at an early date. \p r W. R. Kemball, of Masterton, will leave for Melbourne next week. He will return in a few weeks with Mrs. Kemball and family, who have been on an extended holiday trip to Australia. Mr T. Walsh, general secretary of the Federated Seamen Is Union of Australia, who married that other radical, ~ Sylvia Pankhurst, is visiting New Zealand at present on union business. Mr and Mrs R. L. Levin, of Feilding, leave Wellington for Sydney, next week to join .the Orvieto for London. It will be remembered that Mrs Levin’s brother, Captain Riddiford, died in England from influenza afterthewar was over. States the “Parish Magazine”: - Mr Irving left-us at the end of March. The Vestry have appointed Mrr F. JC_ Hunn as choirmaster and Mr.s Ilunn as. organist to fill the vacancy. Both tire well known to us all, and we have every reason to hope for the best Mr E. H. Waddington, who has been an active member of the WairarapaCaledonian Society for the past thirty wars, and has held the office of president since the last annual meeting, I has resigned owing to pressure of private business. The. Society has decided 1o present Mr Waddington with a. past president’s gold medal in recognition of his past services. .

Pinhey and his family have left for Wellington, thus depriviusr us of the valued services of Miss Pinhey in the Sunday School and as an active assistant to the secretary of the Selwyn Guild. Her fellow teachers presented her with a hand-somely-bound copy of the teachers Bible, inscribed with their names,. ms a memento of their happy association with her in the work of the Church. And, last but not least, we have had. to part with kit and Mrs O. I. Davis. .Mr Davis has been a most useful member of the Vestry, always ready to help and thoroughly reliable "in all that he undertook; while Mrs Davis has been, one of the most staunch and consistent workers in the Ladies’ Sewing Guild, the members of which presented her with a piece of Doulton china as a token of their regard. Our best, wisheswill accompany all these in their new homes and spheres of work.”
