MASTERTON STOCK SALE. The Now Zealand Loan and Morcauti.lt* Agency Co., Ltd., report on thoir weekly Mastevto.ll sale as follows: We offered a small yarding of sheep to a «ood attendance of buyers. All classes were in good demand, arid we disposed of all lines under the hammer. We quote: —4-year empty ewes, 24s 4d, cull 4-year ewes, lbs. Messrs -Dalgety ant Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly stock sale in the Colombo road yards yesterday, when they submitted a good yarding ot stock to a large attendance of buyers. Competition for ail lines of sheep was keen, and a total clearance was effected, but the demand for cattle was very limited, and although prices were not high, vendors met the market on. most Hues’. The following prices were realised: —Small 4-tooth wethers, 295; b.t. 2-tooths, 28s to 29s 4d; cull lambs, 12s; cull ewes, 12s to 21s 3d; cows and calves, £8; light fat steers, £l2 /s Od. Bidding at auction for all lines ot sheep was exceptionally keen, every line being disposed of under the hammer at very satisfactory prices. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report having offered a heavy yarding of cattle and a fair yarding of sheep at their weekly sale yesterday. They report as follows: —We offered 315 head of cattle and 1035 sheep, and effected a total clearance at auction. SKETAHUNA CATTLE FAIR. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report bavin" held their autumn cattle fair at Eketahuna on Monday last, when they submitted a good yarding of cattle to a large attendance. THE PARORANGI SALE. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) FEILDING, Wednesday. Mr Ernest Short’s sale of his Paroranai Hereford stud cattle was concluded in the Feilding saleyards to-day. There was a large and representative •fathering, and there was a clcaianco of battled width will go to all parts of the Dominion. Some were bought for a Victorian breeder. Lustre 11. went for 410gns. General Sir Andrew Russell bought ‘the bull Chancellor 104th for 200gns. The averages for the sale were:—l6B cows, including 50 aged cows, £36; 48 3J-year heifers, £44 10s; 37 24-year heifers, £3O; 45 18-month heifers, £23 14s; 44 heifer calves, £ls 10s; 23 bull calves, £34.
