TO TRUE CHRISTIANS.
IN OB OUT OF THE CHURCH.
A church is the name we give to the building in which people meet to worship. It also signifies a boiiy of people adhering to certain idoas of religion. These things ays mator-nl and formal, and will pass nvTay. The individual 'soul's attuule to I:s Creator is ihe essence of religion. The individual's own understanding and abscrption into his nature of the spirit of Jes'.s Christ determines ids position before God. Individually, shall we l>2 judged by the spirit of Christ? None ran escape. That certain churches are found frittering away their time in political agitation when we are on Ihe eve of the Last Judgment "is in accordance with Christ's prophecy. These shall go down to perdition. .Individuals in them shall be saved. It is a hi-ldous perversion of the spirit of Christ for the heads of Churches to beguile unstable, souls into belifvirjg that the world wiil be saved by outward api lieationa of human laws when they know in their hearts that mankind, must be saved by the inward working of the Holy Spirit. Woe unto you, ye hypocrites!
