MASTER-ON STOCK SALES

Mrssra A. .1." Cooper and Co., Ltd., report on their Masterton sale an follows:—A .small yarding of sheep and cattle came forward to a good attendance of buyers. Competition for both sheep and cattle "was very keen, and we disposed of our wholo entry at auction at prices in advance of late rates. Following aro the prices recorded: —Twotooth wethers, small, 27s 4d. fat ,e\ves 33s 7d, ewes in lamb 23s to 20s Id, empty store ewes 235, prime fat cows £18 2a Gd, light fat cows £13 to £14 6s, S.H. bull £7, sheep dogs £5, £3, £2 and £1 2>i 6d. '

Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report having offered a largo yardiTig of sheep at tho Colombo Road yesterday. There was a good attendance of buyers, bidding was brisk, and a total clearance was effected under tho hammer at satisfactory .prices. Quot-ations:—Two-tooth, to f.f.m. ewes in lamb to Lincobi rams 35s 3d ,mixed age ewes in lamb 28s 2d, good 2-tooth wethers. 33s sd, small 2-tooth wethers 24s 4W, m.s. woolly hoggets 14s Id, 15s, 15s 9d to 16s; cull hoggets 9s 3d. A number of implements were also offered, and sold well.

Tho Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operat-ive Association, Ltd., report on their fortnightly sale, held yesterday, when they offered over 2000' sheep and 50 head of cattle to a large attendance. Bidding at auction was animated throughout, a total clearance resulting of both sheep and cattle. Following aro the quotations:—Sheep: Light fat ewes 24s to 265, 4-tooth owes in lamb to Southdown ram.s 27s_ empty ewes 21s Bd, 18s 10d, lis Sd, 12s, 13s'id to 20s 4d and 21a 9d; lambs lis, 13s 3d, 15s, 16s 3d ,17s, 20s 4d, 20s Od'to 21s 9d; potter rams Ss to "Jls, fat b.f. 2-tooths'26s 7d. Cattle: Springing heifers £10 ss, £3 2 5s to £12 15s, springing cows £10 to £14 17s Od, 20-months heifers £4 2s 6d, m.s. calves £4 Is, draught maro £25.
