(To the Editor.)

Arc the assistants going to get a full day, or do they forfeit tho Thursday half-holiday and work a late night Friday? The Masterton shop employers are like the slow-moving Government —you do not know what they are going to do till the last minute. I suppose there aro a good many more like me who would like to know. —I am, etc., —I am, etc., '

ASSISTANT,

Masterton, June 9th
