A Press Association telegram from Christehurch announces the death of Mr E. R. Good, a prominent resident of the district and ex-Mayor of Rangiora, aged 69 years.

Mr A. P. Green, who has been senior inspector of the Bank of New Zealand for some years, has taken over the management of the Auckland branch of the bank, in succession to Mr H. Buckleton, who has held the position for the last thirteen years. Mr Buckleton, after three or four weeks' holiday leave, will proceed to the South to visit the various branches of the bank, prior to taking np the position of general manager on February Ist next.
